Macaroni Woods

RGSA and the Rushey Green Super Dads’ Group have a long tradition of active involvement with the school. Parents are automatically members with full voting and membership rights when their child starts school. Their activities include social events, fêtes and various fund-raising events. The money raised is used to provide extras for the children and special equipment which we would not afford from our school finances.

For some years the Super Dads’ Group has organised weekend trips to the Noah’s Ark Children’s Venture at Macaroni Wood, a popular rural campsite in the Cotswold countryside. Activities include feeding the pigs, collecting eggs, a treasure trail and recreation. Please contact Mrs. Badar, Ms. Thomas or Mr. Hawes at the school for further details and future meetings, e.g. coffee mornings, SuperDads Groups, fayres, discos.

Mission Statement for the RGSA

Rushey Green School Association “RGSA” is our parent/teacher association and engages with all families and our local community to make our children’s learning experiences so much more fulfilling and exciting.

☺ We aim to develop effective relationships between the staff, parents and others associated with the school

☺ Arrange events and activities that raise funds for equipment and projects in school to enhance the education of all pupils and any extra facilities needed

☺ Organise social events for the enjoyment of the pupils, their families and the wider community.

For example, we need volunteers for our summer fair. We need as many parents involved as possible, you do not need to give a lot of your time but anything you can do, however small would be much appreciated. It really is a case of ‘many hands make light work’. We’d love to hear from anyone who has any particular skills or knowledge they think would be useful or from anyone who has any ideas for events or fundraising ideas.

Please get in touch if you have any ideas on how you would like to see funds being used. We would really like to hear from parents who speak more than one language to help us reach and include all parents with children at the school.

Look forward to hearing from all of you!

Please contact or leave a message for the Deputy Headteacher, Ms.Badar at the school or come along to our next Coffee Morning
