At Rushey Green Primary School our Forest School lessons involve practical hands-on activities which aim to build up pupils’ skills, abilities and confidence week by week. All sessions are planned by our Forest School Leader Mrs Walters; however, Forest School encourages participant led learning. Therefore, as the weeks progress, children will be given more freedom to explore and initiate their learning during sessions. Forest School uses natural materials to stimulate children’s imagination, creativity and investigation.
“Forest School is an inspirational process that offers ALL learners regular opportunities to achieve and develop confidence and self-esteem through hands-on learning experiences in a woodland or natural environment with trees.”
As the weeks progress we will be sharing the wonderful work the children have been getting up to in our new Forest School sessions.
