Sous Chef Educator – Inspire a School Food Revolution!

 

  • Reports to: Head Chef

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and motivate a team to serve fresh, nutritious, and high-quality school meals.
  • Ensure meals meet government and school standards within budget.
  • Develop and support food-related curriculum projects in the school.
  • Oversee kitchen hygiene, safety, and cleanliness.
  • Plan and prepare meals following a seasonal 3-week menu cycle.
  • Cater for dietary and cultural requirements.
  • Manage stock levels, ordering, and supplier deliveries.
  • Maintain food safety records and compliance with hygiene regulations.
  • Support and train kitchen staff in basic culinary skills

Salary: Salary: NJC Scale 5, SP 13-15 (£33,780-£34,779) Actual salary range: £29,178-£30,041

Other Information

Hours: Full-time, 35 hour per week  Monday - Friday (Term time only)  7am - 3pm daily
