Sous Chef Educator – Inspire a School Food Revolution!
- Reports to: Head Chef
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and motivate a team to serve fresh, nutritious, and high-quality school meals.
- Ensure meals meet government and school standards within budget.
- Develop and support food-related curriculum projects in the school.
- Oversee kitchen hygiene, safety, and cleanliness.
- Plan and prepare meals following a seasonal 3-week menu cycle.
- Cater for dietary and cultural requirements.
- Manage stock levels, ordering, and supplier deliveries.
- Maintain food safety records and compliance with hygiene regulations.
- Support and train kitchen staff in basic culinary skills
Salary: Salary: NJC Scale 5, SP 13-15 (£33,780-£34,779) Actual salary range: £29,178-£30,041
